Trench Inspection Checklist Privacy Policy

Overview

Trench Inspection Checklist is an offline field tool from Anvilfield. It processes inspection records locally on the user's device. The app has no Anvilfield account, backend, advertising, analytics, telemetry, or cloud-sync service. Anvilfield does not receive or collect data through the app.

Data processed on the device

The app can store project details, cut dimensions, inspection entries, hazard notes, optional photos, signer details, drawn signatures, settings, and generated PDF or CSV files. Motion-sensor readings are used only for the optional screening clinometer and are not retained as a sensor history. Camera or photo access is used only when the user chooses to attach an inspection photo.

User-initiated sharing

Data leaves the app only when the user chooses an Android share, print, or export action. The selected destination app, service, recipient, or printer then handles that copy under its own privacy terms. Anvilfield does not sell user data or share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Optional Google Play review

After a user signs an inspection record, the app may ask Google Play whether its standard in-app review flow is available. If Google Play displays that flow and the user chooses to submit a rating or comment, Google Play processes that submission under Google's terms and privacy policy. The app does not send inspection records to Google Play, and Anvilfield does not receive the rating or comment through the app.

Retention and deletion

Records remain on the device until the user deletes them where the app provides a delete action, clears the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstalls the app. Exported copies must be deleted from their destination separately.

The app does not offer or require accounts. Therefore, there is no online account or server-side account data to delete, and an account-deletion web form is not applicable.

Security

Local records are protected by Android app storage and the user's device security. Users are responsible for protecting their devices and exported copies.

Children

This is a jobsite tool for working professionals and is not directed to children.
