Rate Calls

Get lb per 1000 sq ft by pavement temperature, trend, snow left, material, and zone area. SaltLedger shows the math behind each call and flags the hard 15F dry-salt cutoff.

Service Logs

Pro service records include GPS, timestamp, notes, material, pounds applied, photos, and PDF export for event tickets or season packets.

Route Loads

Plan route demand against truck capacity and identify the first site where the load runs short before the truck leaves the yard.

Cost Evidence

Track cost, chloride equivalent, dry-salt baseline, site summaries, material summaries, and monthly-by-site trends from logged work.

Offline records from the field.

Free gives one-site salt calls, the full rate table, and the spread visualizer. Pro adds unlimited sites, service logs, PDF tickets, season packets, route planning, cost dashboard, and unlimited presets.

Questions contractors ask before spreading.

How much salt per 1000 sq ft?

For pre-wetted or pretreated salt around 18F and falling on a plowed lot, about 2.5 lb per 1000 sq ft. SaltLedger picks the material column from your temp, trend, and snow condition.

When does salt stop working?

Dry rock salt is ineffective below about 15F pavement temp because brine forms too slowly. SaltLedger flags that cutoff and suggests the safer material call.

How do I document salting for a claim file?

Keep a timestamped service record with GPS, notes, photos, material, pounds applied, and the math. SaltLedger Pro stamps that record and exports PDF tickets.
