The short version
Brake Stroke Card stores brake-stroke records on your device. Anvilfield does not sell, rent, or share your work data. RevenueCat is used only to manage the one-time Pro entitlement through Google Play.
Data stored on your device
The app can store unit number or name, optional VIN, optional tech name, shop name, axle layout, wheel position labels, chamber type, chamber size, stroke class, measured stroke, limit, margin, status, notes, export file paths, and photo references.
This data stays in app storage unless you export, print, share, delete, or back up the device with Android tools you control. Brake-stroke records, photos, notes, unit names, VINs, tech names, shop names, and export files are not sent to Anvilfield, RevenueCat, or Google Play by the field workflow.
Photos and camera
The camera is used only when you choose to attach a photo of a chalk mark, chamber marking, square port, or related brake evidence. Photos stay on the device unless you export or share them.
Network use
Core brake-stroke setup, calculation, save, library, history, photo attachment, and local export generation work without internet. RevenueCat-backed Google Play purchase, restore, and entitlement checks may use network access for the one-time Pro unlock. Android share and print services may use network access only when you choose a destination that needs it.
Purchases
The one-time Pro unlock is handled by RevenueCat-backed Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment under Google's terms. RevenueCat receives purchase history and an anonymous RevenueCat app user ID so it can grant, check, and restore the Pro entitlement. Brake Stroke Card stores local entitlement proof so paid features can keep working offline after purchase or restore.
Analytics and ads
Brake Stroke Card has no ad SDK, no analytics SDK, and no tracking SDK.
Backups and deletion
The Android manifest disables app backup and device-transfer extraction for the app database and files. Use Summary > Delete current unit to remove the active unit. Use Settings > Clear work data to remove all saved units, readings, notes, photos, export files, tech name, and shop name from this device. Exported files you shared or saved outside the app must be deleted from those destinations separately.
Children
Brake Stroke Card is a professional vehicle-maintenance tool for adults. It is not directed to children.
Changes
If a future version changes data handling, Anvilfield will update this policy and the Google Play Data Safety details before that version ships.
