ScanMark DC Privacy Policy

ScanMark DC is an offline field decision aid for concrete drilling crews. The field workflow stores projects, decks, holes, scanner readings, evidence photos, and exports on your device.

Data we collect

We do not run a backend for ScanMark DC and we do not create accounts. The app does not send your project, deck, hole, scanner reading, evidence photo, or export data to Anvilfield.

Android backup and transfer are disabled for app data. Your project ledger is excluded from Android Auto Backup and Android 12+ device-transfer rules.

Purchases

Google Play handles purchase and restore for the lifetime Pro product. Google may process purchase identifiers under its own policies. The release app does not include its own INTERNET permission; Google Play and any share target you choose may use their own network under their own policies.

Sharing

When you copy or share an export, Android sends that file, photo, or text to the app you choose, such as email, Drive, or print. That action is under your control.

Deleting local data

Settings includes Clear local data. It removes saved projects, trash, custom presets, proof name, tracked evidence photos, and the local backup on that phone. It does not cancel a Google Play purchase.

Permissions

The camera or photo picker is used only when you capture or add hole evidence photos. Version 1 does not require location, microphone, contacts, or account permissions.

Safety scope

ScanMark DC turns your scanner readings into a drill decision as a field aid. It is not a scanner, radar, structural approval, or anchor-capacity approval; it does not measure what is inside concrete and is not a substitute for a qualified scanning operator or the structural engineer. The edge-distance check is geometric clearance only and does not approve anchor capacity. Treat post-tension decks as live until proven clear, treat a lone shallow reflector as possible energized conduit, and get engineer approval before cutting structural steel. Verify every reading and decision before you drill.
