Deflection
How far a floor bends under load, limited by a span ratio such as L/360, a serviceability check separate from strength

- HVAC: The split where the stream hits the floor; most rolls back inside, the rest spills out
- Movement of the panel surface while the load is applied; some is allowed and recoverable
